The Never Ending Stairs

I'm falling down these stairs
trying to hold on
don't want to fall into despair
for surely no one would even care
but It's hard to get a grip
I try and try but still i slip  
for these stairs are never ending
and so I'm trapped with no escape
falling down these stairs
that fill me with so much despair
